Who Are You Becoming......

I love videos that tell a story of how you are feeling or just ministers to you don't you?  I will be doing video lessons from time to time so watch for them in the future.   I have struggled all my life with being the real me and it is not easy to go past that fear and be who I was meant to be.  Things in my past has caused me to be this way and I know I won't change over night.  But I am going to take those baby steps, I am going to peek around the corner and not be afraid, face my fears, and be who I was supposed to be.  That little girl who thought the world was a wonderful place to be and not to hide in the shadows.

As you watch this video think of yourself as that little girl.....a little girl not tainted by the world and the limitations it puts on you......but free to enjoy the innocence of being the real you....the one the world needs to see.  This is the one who will love themselves and then spill that love to those all around them.  Even if your personality is not the same as the world says is acceptable....just be yourself....let your true colors shine through.

If right now you are wishing you were someone else (and believe me I have thought it many times) know it only gets in the way of your becoming more yourself.  The world gives us so many ideas of how we are supposed to be that we don't even understand who we are.  We can get so obsessed with trying to be someone else that we miss out on the grand adventure of becoming ourselves.  Each of us is unique and we are here to grow that uniqueness for the benefit for all.

I might be off on the meaning of this video but I like to look at it as showing the world the real you.....letting your true personality shine through and not being afraid.  Also, I love the part where she looks at her reflection in the water because it makes me look at myself and think....is this person happy, need nurturing, or change.   Cyndi Lauper had her own style and she wasn't afraid to show it and the video was wonderfully creative.  I hope you enjoy it too.
